I got my face plate back but the local radio man had my scanner and radio out of the truck to check for damage and found a connection problem with the face plate. They only got the face plate and it was recovered by the police when a neighbor saw someone in their sons truck trying to steal their radio.

The face plate has to connect to the other thing that flips out when you turn off the car and then goes back in by itself. I was told their is where the problem is as the two connections must meet I bought a new scanner and blue tooth radio at best buy and this one is now being sold for parts only. I bought it new and put it in my truck until last week when someone tried to steal the radio and police scanner in the dash board.
